The project was born from the meeting of two artists: Vincenzo Capezzuto, a voice that eludes any type of classification due to the peculiarity of the timbre, the extension and the marked versatility in ranging between different musical genres. The other artist is Luca Lucini, one of the most interesting and virtuous guitarists on the international music scene.

 

The program offers a musical journey that starts from the great Argentine composers such as Astor Piazzolla, Alberto Ginestera and Carlos Guastavino, arriving in Spain through traditional Mexican and Venezuelan music.

 

Just a voice and an instrument, to live an intimate and vibrant dimension through the most exciting songs of South America.

Dancer and singer, Vincenzo Capezzuto began his artistic studies at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, quickly becoming Primo ballerino and dancing with international companies including: Teatro San Carlo in Naples, English National Ballet, Ballet Argentino by Julio Bocca and Aterballetto di Mauro Bigonzetti and interpreting the ballets of the most important choreographers of the 19th and 20th centuries such as George Balanchine, August Bournonville, Marius Petipa, William Forsythe, Mauro Bigonzetti, Alvin Ailey, Roland Petit and others. Awarded with prestigious prizes and awards such as the Positano - Leonide Massine prize and the TOYP prize for the dissemination of art in the world, he is invited to dance in numerous International Gala alongside Alessandra Ferri, Maximiliano Guerra, Manuel Legris, Julio Bocca, Roberto Bolle and others.

At the same time, he continues his career as a solo singer collaborating with the ensemble L'Arpeggiata, conducted by Christina Pluhar, with whom he records 5 Albums for the label Virgin Classics / Erato, the Accordone ensemble and the EUBO Orchestra (European Union Baroque Orchestra). In addition, the famous American writer Donna Leon invited him to sing as a solo voice for her project "GONDOLA" (Book + CD) interpreting the "Venetian boat arias" of 1700 together with the baroque ensemble the Pomo D'Oro conducted by Riccardo Minasi and with the extraordinary participation of Cecilia Bartoli. Maestro Pavel Vernikov invited him to sing arias by Bach, Schubert and the Neapolitan repertoire with the Orchestra composed of exceptional international soloists such as: Luigi Piovano, Alberto Bocini, Mari Kodama, Jose-Daniel Castellon, Alexandar Tosic, Thierry Debons. Krzysztof Meininger and the Poland Baroque Orchestra invited him to interpret some "Arias" by A. Vivaldi and A. Piazzolla in the "Vivaldissimo" program.

 

Having a "voice" that eludes any type of classification due to the particularity of the timbre, the extension and the marked versatility in range between different musical genres, Vincenzo has performed as a solo singer at important concert institutions such as: Carnegie Hall of New York, Wigmore Hall of London, Filarmonica Romana, BBCProms of London, Walt Disney Concert Hall of Los Angeles, Melbourne Recital Center, Ravenna Festival, International Winter Festival in Sochi, Quincena Musical of San Sebastian, Hong Kong Music Festival, Shanghai Music Festival etc. In 2011 he founded the Soqquadro Italiano ensemble together with Claudio Borgianni.

 

 

Luca Lucini

 

Born in Salò in 1971, he began studying classical guitar at the age of eight with Maestro Massimo Ferrari and later with Maestro Sergio Bertasio. He specialized with the masters Giampaolo Bandini and Giovanni Puddu, and followed various Master classes with musicians such as: Paolo Pegoraro, Aniello Desiderio, Alvaro Pierri, Tilmann Hoppstock, Oscar Ghiglia and the Trio di Parma. Winner of various competitions, he was engaged in concerts both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, collaborating with musicians such as: the violinist Marco Fornaciari, the conductor José Luis Basso, the violinist Nobuhiko Asaeda, the accordionist Yuri Shiskin, the bandoneonist Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, the cellist Katharina Gross, the pianist Matteo Falloni.

 

He has performed both in Europe and in America, Australia and Asia, playing in prestigious concert reviews such as: LXVII season of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, chamber music season 2005-2006 of the Tokyo City Philarmonic Orchestra, Festival Internacional de Guitarra of Durango in Mexico, Malta arts Festival 2013, “Weekend mozartiani” in Ravello, Festival de Radio France et Montpellier, Surgut (Siberia) International music Festival, Al Bustan Festival in Beirut in Lebanon, International Guitar Festival "Niccolò Paganini" in Parma, Gumi International Music Festival (Korea) . Together with the bandoneonist Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, he performed in prestigious festivals and musical-theatrical performances collaborating with artists such as Tonino Guerra, Ivano Marescotti and Luca Pagliari.

 

He collaborated with the famous poet and screenwriter Tonino Guerra in the recording of the documentary film " Viaggio luminoso di una vita” (Bright journey of a life). Solo guitar in the soundtrack of the film "Romeo & Juliet" produced by RAI on a soundtrack by Andrea Guerra. There are numerous composers who dedicated compositions to him, among them Andrea Scarpone with a concert for guitar and string orchestra entitled "Strings" and Fabio Conocchiella always with a concert for guitar and string orchestra entitled "Flussi ". In 2009 the CD entitled "El tan(g)o" was released in collaboration with the bandoneonist Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, with music by Piazzolla, Ramirez, Scarpino Caldarella, Schiffrin, Bacalov and Falloni. In 2016 the CD "14 Jewels" was released in collaboration with the cellist Katharina Gross, with music by A. Thomas, R. Gnattali, M. Falloni, A. Marinissen, M. de Falla. He is the artistic director of the festivals " Pomeriggi musicali di Salò" and "Tignale in musica". He is a guitar teacher at the Conservatory “A. Scontrino” of Trapani.
