GUY TOUVRON is a player who today has fully reached his artistic maturity. Thanks to the awarding of three international prizes (Munich, Geneva and Prague), he began very early a brilliant career that today has been crowned with the achievement of 3.500 concerts. He played with prestigious orchestras: English Chamber Orchestra, Mozarteum in Salzburg, La Scala Orchestra in Milan, Festival Strings in Lucerne, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Symphonia Varsovia, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Orchestre d’Auvergne, Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse; as well as numerous symphonic ensembles: Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, de Lille, de Lorraine, de la Garde Républicaine de Paris, the Dresdnen Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Czech Philharmonic; in the biggest concert halls of the world: the Philharmonie in Berlin, La Scala in Milan, Salle Pleyel, Royal Albert Hall in London, Konzertwerein in Wien.
He also played under the baton of Maestros such as Menuhin, Serge Baudo, Sylvain Cambrelaing, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Emmanuel Krivine, Michel Plasson, Claudio Scimone, etc.
He attends the world of the festivals both in France and abroad: Salzburg, Pollença (Spain), Lanaudière (Canada), Stresa (Italy), Montreux (Switzerland), Jerusalem, La Chaise Dieu, and he regularly plays in the United States, Japan, China and in all European countries.
Moreover, he puts his talent at the service of the baroque music, the chamber music and contemporary composition.
More than 25 works were written for him by composers such as: Karol Beffa, Charles Chaynes, Graciane Finzi, Antony Girard, Jacques Loussier, Alain Margoni, François Rauber...
He recorded more than 65 records (EMI, BMG, Philips, Ligia Digital, Erato) and in parallel to his career as soloist he is an educationist who has the opportunity to transmit his experience to the young artists in several Masterclasses and Academies: Juilliard School in New-York, Tokyo, Nice, Biella,...
He is an official professor at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris (CNR), at the Schola Cantorum, official of the French National Order of Merit and Chevalier of the Arts and Letters.
He published the biography of Maurice André: « Maurice André, une trompette pour la renommée », for Rocher editions.
