Lina Uinskyte and Marco Ruggeri Duo

violin and organ

The Uinskyte-Ruggeri Duo was founded in 2012, performing music from the Baroque to the 19th Century, and ranging from original pieces to transcriptions of piano and orchestral scores. The Duo are particularly interested in researching and performing new concert repertoire which exploits the sound palette and orchestral potential of the organ. The most played transcriptions (all performed by the Duo) include “The Four Seaosns” by Vivaldi, Kabalevsky’s Violin Concerto, Respighi’s Concerto Gregoriano, Bazzini’s Concerto Militare and a wide repertoire of composers between the 19th and 20th Centuries (Cilea, Pilati, Veretti, Ponchielli, Rota, Schnittke, Stravinsky).

The Duo performed in important Italian and foreign festivals: Cremona (Violin Museum), International Organ Festival in Arona, International Organ Festival in Vallemaggia (CH), Società Filarmonica in Trento, International Organ Festival in Modena, Antegnati Festival in Brescia, Palazzina di caccia of Stupinigi, Classical Music Festival in Corsanico (Lu), Orgues et montagnes de l'Alpe d'Huez (F), S. Giacomo Festival in Bologna, Festival Organalia in Turin etc.

Intense recording activity, both with organ and harpsichord, for Italian (Elegia) and foreign labels (Fugatto and Brilliant). In that regard the Duo received important critical acclaims including "5 stars" Radio Classica (December 2014) for "The four Seasons" amd "5 stars" Amadeus (December 2015) for the CD "The Lingiardi orchestra-organ... for a violin".
