Born in Turin, he studied at the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” with Renzo Brancaleon. Then at Accademia Stauffer in Cremona with Rocco Filippini, and at Mozarteum Salzburg with Julius Berger.
His concert activity leads him to perform in important concert seasons and prestigious venues such as: Tonhalle of Zurich, Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, Lincoln Center, Alice Tully Hall of New York, Parco della Musica in Rome, Mak and Lockenhausmusikfest in Vienna, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Festival delle Nazioni in Citta di Castello, Unione Musicale in Turin.

His soloistic repertoire includes works from Vivaldi until Schnittke concertos, with orchestras like Arpeggione Kammerorchester, Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse. His performance of Schumann cello concerto was recorded by the Bavarian Radio of Munich.

In chamber music he played with renowned artists such as Salvatore Accardo, Bruno Giuranna, Dora Schwarzberg, Pavel Gililov, Rohan De Saram, and Gilles Apap.

Since 2012 he is the cellist of the Xenia Ensemble, which has been dedicated to the contemporary repertoire.

He is cello professor at Accademia di Musica in Pinerolo. Moreover, he gives numerous master classes in foreign countries.

From 2014 to 2016 he was "artiste associé" and artistic director of International Music Festival in Conques (France).

He is artistic coordinator of the contemporary music Festival Estovest.
